Overview
Covert Anti-Tank Obstacle with Combat-Proven Track Record
The MZP Putanka Wire Barrier is a specialized low-visibility anti-tank obstacle net designed for covert military operations. Unlike conventional anti-tank barriers that rely on visual deterrence, the Putanka is engineered to be inconspicuous — its thin wire construction and natural color blending allow it to be deployed without alerting enemy reconnaissance. Once a vehicle drives over the barrier, the unique 4-layer wound wire construction wraps around tank tracks and wheel axles, immobilizing the vehicle through mechanical entanglement.
The barrier features four progressively finer wire layers (0.9 mm → 0.8 mm → 0.6 mm → 0.5 mm diameter) wound together to form a flexible, low-profile net. When a tank or vehicle passes over the net, the wires lift and wrap around rotating components — track sprockets, drive wheels, and axles. The multiple wire layers create a progressively tightening grip that jams mechanical systems. This battlefield-proven design has been effectively deployed in the Ukraine conflict, demonstrating its ability to stop modern main battle tanks.
Designed for rapid foldable deployment, a single soldier can carry and deploy an MZP Putanka barrier in under 5 minutes without any tools. The barrier folds into a compact package for transport in a backpack or vehicle trunk. Unlike concertina wire or traditional anti-tank mesh, the Putanka does not require posts, anchoring systems, or ground preparation. Simply unfold on the ground in the target area — roads, trails, bridge approaches, or terrain bottlenecks — and the barrier is operational.

Características
Características y Ventajas
Low-Visibility Inconspicuous Design
The thin wire profile and dark finish allow the barrier to blend naturally with soil, grass, gravel, and asphalt surfaces. Invisible to aerial reconnaissance and ground patrols at distances over 20 meters, enabling covert denial of enemy vehicle approach routes.
4-Layer Progressive Wire Entanglement
Four wound wire layers (0.9 → 0.8 → 0.6 → 0.5 mm) work together to wrap around tank tracks and wheel assemblies. As the vehicle drives forward, the wires tighten progressively, jamming sprockets, rollers, and drive components until the vehicle is completely immobilized.
Foldable Rapid Deployment
Folds into a compact 0.5 × 0.3 × 0.2 m package that fits in a standard military backpack. A single soldier can carry and deploy the barrier in under 5 minutes with zero tools. No posts, stakes, or ground preparation required — simply unfold on the target area.
Combat-Proven in Ukraine
Battlefield-validated in the Ukraine conflict against modern main battle tanks (T-72, T-80, T-90). The Putanka barrier has demonstrated consistent ability to immobilize armored vehicles in road ambush and area denial operations under real combat conditions.
Lightweight & Portable
At just 8–12 kg per section, a single operator can carry multiple barriers for area denial missions. The lightweight construction enables special forces, reconnaissance units, and infantry teams to deploy anti-tank obstacles deep behind enemy lines without vehicle support.
No Ground Preparation Required
Unlike concrete barriers, HESCO bastions, or picket-mounted wire mesh, the Putanka requires zero site preparation. Deploy directly on asphalt roads, dirt tracks, grass fields, gravel paths, or bridge decks. Removable with no environmental footprint — ideal for temporary and covert operations.
